Yay I get to actually post this. My english teacher would so love this since I'm being so analytical.
I think that Renesmee's name, being made up of Renee (Bella's mom) and Esme (Edward's mother for purposes) stands for the 2 sides of her family, and for being what she is, a half breed. I think that the name shows Renesmee as a link between to different species, that is noticed anyway. What do you wall think.

I think that is very true, but yet I also don't think S. Meyer actually thought of that when she was making up the name. I think she just wanted to put the two names together to be corny and sentimental.
Ahem. You'll have to excuse me xD While I admin this site, I still think the books are worth about as much as toilet paper. Idea = awesome, thus this site. S'Meyer's writing = poop, and very sad indeed. I think the entire idea of Renesmee is, in essence, a plot point that had a lot of potential but never yielded any satisfaction. It didn't help the story nor did it play a part in the climax of the story; nobody fought for her, she didn't reveal anything amazing about herself, and Bella's motherly instincts only extend to the bare necessities: to keep the girl alive. thatsitsadly.
I need to shut up now. xD Sorry for the slight off-topicness!

Actually I thinkit was ontopic. You were talking about Reneesme and how it worked with the story. I disagree about her writing I like it. But I do agree the idea was awesome.

I'm sorry but I have to go with her writing being rather suckish. She had much potential and personaly I was able to get away with doing a psychology project on Bella's "Mental Disorders"....that girl should not be looked up to...sry...the sotry was a good idea in the wrong hands...
