If I were you guys, I would focus less on making a new site and focus more on improving the one we have. I can't see people roleplaying on two vampire sites. If you want a Twilight one, here we are. If you want regular vampires, we could do a vote and see what everyone would think about making Waning Sun: A twilight RPG into Waning Sun: a Vampire RPG.

Hey guys. I know I'm very new here and technically the first thing that I post should be my character profile (which according to plan will start showing up tomorrow), but I would like to make a plea. Please don't abandon this site. I am so lucky to have finally found a twilight related roleplay. I have long been looking for one which does not use canon characters (really I mean why on earth would anyone want to play canons is beyond me.) I was starting back in September to have some sort of roleplay on Gaia Online in a twilight guild. I now want to bring my two characters over because they are not very serious about the roleplay over there and most of the people have stopped posting. The ones that still do barely post a few sentences.

I was very lucky to come across this site and I was so happy to see how serious about it you guys were going about it and I have been wanting to join for a couple months I just tried to tell myself to do it later because I have a really busy schedule at the time and I knew that if I join I would just spend a lot of time here and neglect my other duties. Regardless I made an account now and I would like to start. Within the time contstraints I have I tried to go all around the site reading as much as I can. I read all of your character profiles and started threads. I'm really liking it (though I'm a little sad to see you guys haven't been very active lately.)

I am hoping though that we can all start being active again and have some fun. We can do it guys, pretty please. I myself would be a very active member, I promise. Like I said I am planning on bringing in my two characters and they will always keep going and providing more opportunities for you guys to interact together ... oh crap I have to be in class in 3 minutes. Grr ... I gotta run I'll talk with you guys later but please come back and please be active this can be a really great place I just know it.

I am very glad to see you enjoy Waning Sun! As you would know through reading this thread, I am no longer RPing here, but am sticking around as a site maintenance sort of deal. I'm glad you are putting in your two cents on this thread even though you're new, it puts things in perspective for all of us and if everyone were as enthusiastic as you are, we'd be THE best Twilight RP out there. We very well can be, still, if we put our activity to it. We've got the look, now we need the talk and the walk to go with it.

Everyone keep putting in your input if you have any. This is helpful.

Aww. Yeah I am absolutely loving this place. When I first saw your site I was like, "WOW!!". I was thinking to myself that I finally found the place I was looking for. You guys have made this place look gorgeous. I want to say a very big thank you for still doing the administrative duties to this site. Like you said, I know you are hating it, though it's very thoughtful and generous of you to be giving up from your own precious time to deal with it continually. I know it's a lot to get a site off the ground in the beginning, about the time and great effort. However to be doing such a thing when you actually find your site's topic on the distasteful side is something else. Bravo. Congratulations. I don't know how you manage it. I myself and the other fans of twilight are quite fortunate. Thank you again.

Was it the fans who have crushed any chance of you liking the story? I was one of the people who were into it earlier on before it had such a massive fanbase. I wasn't necesarily into the story as much as I was into the concept. Although I have to say I did enjoy the story too. However the rest of people are truly obsessive and I know when fans get like that they can destroy any chance of people liking a book or anything of the sort. I'm about to say something that may shock you all. Please don't be angry or smiteful since I am going to approach this into a respectable manner. Now I know that some of the people on this site are fans of Harry Potter. I respect your decision. I am not however, and I think what contributed to that was the fanbase.

I'm not originally from North America. I come from Romania and I never heard about Harry Potter until we moved to Canada. When I came here I don't think it was that big. I think only the second book was coming out. In any case I never really picked up on the series. It's just a book I had seen from afar someone else reading. Good. So some time passes and then eventually I get a multitude of die hard fans in my face and trying to shove it down my throat and endless things. There came years of it following me everywhere and I was even subjected to the first film by peers and many stories I am not going to rant about. In conclusion it just killed any chance of me getting into it or liking it or anything of the sort. So in a way I know how you feel Cynthia. I know you were saying that you also don't like what has been done to vampires but that's just one reason I can empathize with. I like this vampire concept though it's very interesting and engaging. Intriguing for me all I can say. *Sigh* ... here I go ranting again.

Anyway thank you for the warm reply . This is excellent I see that another of the members has posted again on a thread that seemed quite appealing to jump in. I don't have too much time at the computer left so I am going to try and get something up for Evelyn. Oh by the way. I'm Roxy. Nice to meet you guys . By the way ... I'm a 19 year old student currently living in Toronto, Canada. After I get Evelyn Nicolae on her feet I am going to bring my second character in, Kelly Fife. (as long as that is okay with our Miss Cynthia.)
