Alexa walked into the Red Horn. This was only her second time here, but she'd had a lot of fun the first time. She went up to the bar and got a drink, then headed towards the dance floor. Her body started twisting like there was no tomorrow, all the while with her drink in her hand. After a while Alexa stopped dancing and headed over to a table.
She sat there and waited for a boy to come over to her. She looked around the dance floor seeing if she could find a boy she deemed hot, though that could be defined in many ways. After a while she took a break form that and closed her eyes. "Why don't I come here more often?" she said out loud the herself. With her eyes still closed she took another swig of her drink and opened her eyes, waiting.

Last time David had come to the Red Horn had been interesting, to say the least. Meeting Cynthia and then trying to overthrow her desire to kill a human he had inadvertantly brought into the conversation had been a wake-up call to what sort of place this could be. However, he felt himself drawn back today, for inexplicable reasons. Walking in, he was not as struck by the smell of blood as he was the last time. He had made sure to wait for a day he had fed to come back to this place.
Tanner scanned the room, not really sure what he was looking for. Finding someone to talk to was usually his reason for leaving the comfort of his own apartment. His eyes fell on a young woman at a table, a young human. Eyes narrowing, he headed towards her, sure that she would be targeted by a vampire. The irony that he had targeted her, even if for a different reason, was not lost on him. Standing next to her table, he rose his eyebrows at her. "Hello. Are you waiting for somsone?" A lame opening, but if she had a friend coming, he wouldn't feel so worried about her sitting all alone amongst a roomful of predators. His golden eyes wandered the room behind him, taking in the eyes of the others in the bar. Most of them were crimson.

Alexa couldn't find anyone so she had stopped looking. She heard someone talking to her. She turned and saw a man with golden eyes, brown hair, and a gorgoeus face. She looked at him and said, "No, I'm just here for the party." she said. Her face formed a smile. She thought of her last time here. She had had so much fun. She took another drink, feeling the liquid slide down her throat. She saw a waitress pass buy. "Can I have another one?" she said towards the girl. She knew she could handle a couple more drinks. She then turned back to the guy, and looked at him. "What brings you here? Besides the partying?" she said. She felt the music engulf her and the smell of drinks enter her. She took a deep breath to take it all in.

Tanner glanced around at the place, which was mostly filled with vampires. There were a few werewolves and even fewer humans. He glanced back at her and saw her smile just before taking a drink. "This isn't really the best place to go for a girl like you." As soon as he spoke the words, he realized he would have to justify them. Before she could protest, he sat down across from her, leaning towards her to speak. "By that, I just mean someone so young and pretty." He fumbled. Obviously, he couldn't say that he meant because she was a human, and alone. He studied her for a minute after she ordered another drink. "You can't be 21. Did they even card you?" Probably not. He was sure a slightly inebriated human made for easier hunting.
Her question shook him from his thoughts and he shrugged, glancing around with a bored look composed on his features. "Something like that. The partying isn't really my thing. I just like getting out sometimes to be around other...people." He really had to work on his excuses if he was going to make it a habit to talk to humans in this place. It was his goal to convince her to leave here, but he had no idea how to even broach the subject and still play human.

Alexa stared at him. She could tell that he was trying to get her out of here, but why. She took a small drink and looked his perfect features. "No they didn't card me. People never card me. And your right I'm not 21. I'm only 17, but big whoop." She started to laugh a little bit. It was a bit strange no one carded her. She saw him lean forward and her heart rate sped up. She took another drink to settle her nerves. She took another deep breath. She loved the smell. Who wouldn't? She leaned foward, her chin in her hands and her elbows on the table, and looked him in the eye. Her face was inches from his. Her mind registered his chiseled features and his smell. His smell to her smelled like peppermint. "So you don't care about partying. To bad that's what I like to do." She kept staring at him, hoping he would talk to her a bit more coherent.

Her admission that they hadn't carded her did not surprise him. It wasn't as if the cops would come in here to shut them down. However, her admission to her age was a surprise. "Seventeen. Well, I guess you look a little bit older." She didn't, not really. He had just assumed she was older when he had first seen her, as she had alcohol in her hand. As he leaned towards her to speak more easily, he could hear her heartrate increase and he immediately pulled it back a little bit. He often forgot how vampires seemed to be attractive to humans. When he had been human, his features were hardly something to get excited over, and it was hard to adjust. Leaning back a little bit, he wearily watched her.
She was leaning closer to him, and as she did he moved back even more. He was completely disconcerted by the direct way she was talking to him, and how close she had gotten to him. It didn't bother him to smell her so close, as he was already full, but it made him nervous all the same. He wanted to shake her and tell her to get away from these hunters, to never come back. However, it obviously could not happen that way. "Well. I guess I'm just a boring guy, then." He said lamely, glancing around the bar uncomfortably. "I don't like crowds much."

Alexa saw him lean back, guessing he was somewhat scared she back off also. She was wondering why he was so scared. She wasn't that frightening was she. She took her glass put it to her lips and leaned back to finish it off. Her somewhat pale neck was exposed as she finished off her drink. She put her glass back down her neck snapping back to a cover position. She figeted a bit. She crossed her leg over her knee and leaned back again. Her neck was almost stretched full length. She let the lights bask her in there glow. The white skin on her neck gleamed slightly. She started to think about how pale she was. She decided to go tanning tomorrow. Still leanign back she said to David, "Who are you anyway? You didn't exactally introduced yourself." she said. She let the music wrap her in a cocoon while she waited for his answer. 'I need antoher drink. But... I'll get it later.' she thought.

The woman was fidgeting nervously, and he flinched as she kept arching her neck. If she knew what company she kept, she would no doubt keep that neck as sheltered as possible. As it was, the actions did not bother his own hunger in the least. He had long since gained control over his want for human sustenance, and was perfectly capable of sitting so near Alexa. Most others of his kind would see her as prey, whereas he was not so blinded.
"Who are you anyway?"
Tanner realized with slight embarrasment that he had not yet introduced himself to her. He had been much too intent on focusing on what he considered a dangerous situation. Offering her a friendly smile, he held out a hand to her. "The name's David Tanner, but most call me Tanner." What did it matter if she stayed in the Red Horn for a little longer? He was with her now; he could keep an eye on her for now. Tanner wasn't completely helpless.

Alexa sat back up, her hair covering her fragile neck. She stared at David. For some strange reason she was drawn to him. She saw a waitress pass by. "Hey can I have another." she said holding up her glass. She was so tired of having to wait for them to come around. She was getting annoyed with them. After the waitress left Alexa turned back to David and concentrated on his face. For some reason she couldn't stop looking at him. She pulled herself away and looked at the dance floor. She saw bodies swaying and heard the music blaring. She heard a drink set down and she turned to find her next drink on the table. She grabbed it and took a small sip, the liquid moistening her dry throat. She turned back to David. "Well hello Tanner. I'm Alexa Connell." she said. She reached her hand out to shake. As soon as she touched it she pulled back. The hand was freezing. She felt like she had just placed her hand in ice water. 'How could it be freezing, it's like 100 degrees in here." she thought to herself. Alexa was getting bored with just sitting there, she stood up and looked at Tanner, holding out her hand. "Would you like to dance?" she asked. She hoped he would say yes, for a reason she didn't know. She started to slowly back away from David, trying to draw him out. She heard the music and her hips started swaying. She stayed off the dance floor, waiting for Tanner to come over.

As she pulled her hand away, he realized what had startled her. The temperature of his skin. His hand must have felt ice-cold to her. Withdrawing his own hand slowly, he nodded politely. "Alexa. That's a pretty name. Nice to meet you." They fell into an awkward silence. She wasn't very talkative, he gathered, and he wasn't exactly sure how to continue the conversation. Perhaps he had made her uncomfortable with the temperature of his hand? He cursed how easily he forgot simple details like that when interacting with humans.
He cocked his head and thrummed his fingers rhythmically on the table as he studied her. She was ordering another drink, and he wondered why she was drinking so much. "So. tell me about yourself..." he ventured, raising his eyebrows. Maybe there was a reason for her being here, an interesting story. However, she didn't seem to have heard him over the music. She was standing and walking to the dance floor, motioning for him to follow. He narrowed his eyes and stood. David hated dancing. "Alexa, I don't think so..." He started, looking around at all the swaying bodies with an air of apprehension.

Alexa was a bit put off, but she was going to get him to dance, whether he liked it or not. "Come on. I need a partner." she said with a laugh. She went up and grabbed his hands, she knew they were cold, but she didn't care. "Please." she said, giving him a sad face. She didn't pull her hands away. For some reason she couldn't let go. She felt the music hit her in the back and it fills her ears. She tried to pull him towards the dance floor, she didn't know if he would move or not, she hoped he would.
She pulled one hand off, but held on wiht the other hand. She started to twist her hips back and force, enticing him onto the dance floor. She bumped into a couple people but she didn't care. For a strange reason she had only eyes for him. She kept her hand in contact with his, his hand started to feel somwhat....normal.
